Bowdoinham CSA
“Would you like a full or half share?”
We offer a free choice CSA for people picking up here at the farm. This means you choose which veggies your family usually eat and custom make your box when you come. (At all locations in Portland and Rockport, the shares are pre-made by us.)
Pick up for shares are every Tuesday from 1 pm to 6 pm at our farm store. We are at 1186 River Road in Bowdoinham. Our CSA has 25 share pick-ups. The Summer CSA begins on May 7 and continues until October 22, 2024.
Sizes: We offer full share and half share sizes. Full share typically feeds a couple who eat a large amount of vegetables daily, or a family of 4 who are average veggie eaters. Our half size will feed a couple who eat more of a mixed diet and are not as heavily reliant on vegetables.
Our farm store will be open during CSA pickup times and customers can pop in to purchase produce from the other farmers we work with. Please click on our Farm Store page to see what we sell.
Prices: A full share for the season (25 shares), costs $837. Our half share costs $518.75.

We have been offering this sort of package all the year round, since the start of the pandemic, and have had a great response.
- We send out a weekly email, listing the wares, and also including photos, recipes, and stories about the farm. Many people comment that the emails are one of their favorite parts of their membership.
-People are often shocked at both, so many foods they've never tried or even heard of, and also foods they did not know we could grow in Maine's climate!
-Value! Most people have called the share "generous" and not only appreciate the value, but usually find that they eat more vegetables, because there are so many vegetables around! We hear it again and again from folks, and is that not just a best case scenario! All of us, could stand to eat more vegetables, and less (fill in the blank).
-Reliable, routine..... people find it super easy to put their trust in us, and go pick up their share, same place, same day... no shopping list, no hemming and hawing at the co-op. A nice no brainer approach to healthy fresh food infusion into the diet!
-Freshness and seasonality are unbeatable. Every share you get was picked the day before. Every bit of it, is from right up the road, in season, and organically produced.

To become a member, just fill out the form bellow and mail us a check. You’ll get an email from us about your upcoming share that will be waiting for you at the pickup location you’ve chosen. You CAN get there from here!
