Portland CSA
Our Portland CSA is a traditional farmer’s choice weekly share. This means that it has been pre-made by us: you just get out of your car and grab your packed box. It’s fast, convenient, and interesting to discover what veggies we’ve put inside. CSA customers have said “It feels like Christmas every week!” Or “I feel like I am on the show “Chopped” and love trying to figure out how best to utilize everything!”
The Winter 2025 CSA involves weekly deliveries 14 times. The CSA begins Jan 7, 2025 and continues until April 8, 2025.
Size: This winter, we will offer a mid-size share (Pick-8), a portion of winter storage vegetables and greens for households that eat a mixed diet.
Price: $448. The value is high. Check the average price per item, against prices in the CO-OP or the farmers market. By giving up the element of choice, you get a lot of break on price.
Typical Offerings (not limited too): Cabbage, butternut, acorn, sweet potatoes, potatoes, carrot, beet, parsnip, celeriac, turnip/rutabaga, leeks, onion. Salad, arugula, spinach, shared, kale, bok choy, herbs, + more.

We are so lucky , to have great site hosts in Portland. When the pandemic began, these establishments were happy to go into partnership with us, to distribute shares to CSA members. Every one of them is a friend, and we are ever grateful for their willingness to help us and work with us. We encourage you to consider take out any time you can!
Our Winter 2025 Portland pick up locations:
Tipo, Back Bay
Cantina Calafia, West End
Pick up is Friday, 4 pm to closing time (please check site host's hours). Please pick up on Friday, hosts will donate shares left over at the end of the night. If something comes up, please contact the site host for their willingness or ability to make arrangements.
We have been offering this sort of package all the year round, since the start of the pandemic, and have had great responses.
- We send out a weekly email, listing the wares, and also including photos, recipes, and stories about the farm. Many people comment that the emails are one of their favorite parts of their membership.
-People are often surprised at both, so many foods they've never tried or even heard of, and also foods they did not know we could grow in Maine's climate!
-Value! Most people have called the share "generous" and not only appreciate the value, but usually find that they eat more vegetables, because there are so many vegetables around. We hear it again and again from folks, and is that not just a best case scenario. All of us could stand to eat more vegetables, and less (fill in the blank).
-Reliable, routine… people find it super easy, to put their trust in us, and go pick up their share, same place, same day... no shopping list, no hemming and hawing at the co-op. A nice no brainer approach to healthy fresh food infusion into the diet!
-Freshness and seasonality are unbeatable. Every share you get was picked the day before. Every bit of it is from right up the road, in season, and organically produced.
